How it works - Coaches

MEMBERSHIP

Listing on the Discover Travel & Tours groups websites will be FREE of charge until 31st December 2007. Subsequent year’s membership fee will be 1% of the previous year’s turnover generated by Discover Travel & Tours.

ADVERTISING

You can if you wish take advantage of our optional low-cost advertising. Group Organisers viewing your free listing can click a “see more details” button to view a full web advertisement which you can update online as often as you like. The cost is just £200+VAT (€300) for 1 page or £500(€700) for 5 pages for a whole year.

COACH HIRE ENQUIRIES

Group enquiries will be sent to you by e-mail. Your can then quote any price to bid for the business, bearing in mind that other local coach operators may also be quoting. Any quotation accepted and booked by the customer will be commissionable to Discover Travel & Tours at 10%.

BOOK YOUR OWN GROUP TOURS

Membership also entitles the coach operator to buy group products from the site, either ready packaged and operated by us or “build your own” and managed by you through the site.

CONTRACTS

Each quotation accepted by a client will be confirmed to you by e-mail with a Discover Travel & Tours Group Contract and should not be regarded as confirmed until this is received. All hires will be subject to our standard Terms and Conditions.

RECONFIRMATION

For each group booked Discover Travel & Tours will email you by 18.00hrs 28 days prior to the tour departure date to reconfirm or cancel the booking. Final numbers will be confirmed by the final documentation which will be e-mailed shortly before the tour departure date. Provided that these terms are adhered to no penalty or cancellation charge shall be levied by the coach operator.

REGULATIONS

It is assumed that, at all times, the coach operator shall comply with all current national and international laws regarding working hours, vehicle safety and registration and passenger safety. Discover Travel & Tours shall not accept any responsibility for action or claims arising out of the coach operator’s failure to comply with legal requirements.

LATE RUNNING

The coach operator shall absolve Discover Travel & Tours of any responsibility for, and outcome of, the late running of services unless specifically caused by timing errors in written material sent by us.

PAYMENT

You claim payment form Discover Travel & Tours on completion of the tour, showing a deduction of 10% for our commission, for settlement within 30 days by BACS transfer directly into your bank account. A remittance advice will be issued by us with every payment.

TERMINATION

Participation in the Discover Travel & Tours groups websites will continue until you notify us in writing at our registered address of your intention to withdraw from membership at the end of the current operating season. All confirmed bookings placed through the Discover Travel & Tours websites up the date of withdrawal from membership will be honoured by you on current membership terms.
